The "Class B" uniform is similar to the
"Class A" uniform, with the only
exception being the shirt that is worn. The following is an excerpt
taken from the 11th Edition of the Boy Scout Handbook (pages 13).
Explanation of the Uniform
"For outdoor activities, Scouts may wear troop or camp
T-shirt with the Scout pants or shorts."
"Class B" uniform should be worn in the same manner as
the "Class A" wearing a Scout-related T-shirt or collared
shirt instead of a Scout dress shirt. "Class B" should
be worn with dark colored shoes or boots (black or brown are the
preferred shoe colors). The only difference between "Class
A" and "Class B" is the shirt.
When to Wear "Class A"
"Class B" uniform is intended for outdoor wear. Examples
of outdoor wear may include outdoor troop meetings, camporees (when
"Class A" is not required), and summer camp.
